The funeral for Olga Kopperdahl, 93, of Maddock was held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock. Interment was made in the church cemetery. She died on 17 Jun 1997 at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey. Pastor Betty Stedman officiated. Rachel Markestad was organist and Chrissie Hager soloist. Pallbearers were Wayne Kopperdahl, Dale Anderson, Gerald Anderson, Gerald Hager, Robert Sieg and Richard Ricker. The Nelson Funeral Home of Maddock was in charge of arrangements. Olga M. Kopperdahl was born on 20 Mar 1904 to Anton and Gunda Evenson Togstad. As a young girl she moved with her family to a farm near Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. They later returned to the Maddock area. She married John Kopperdahl on 31 Oct 1925 in Minnewaukan. They lived in Maddock until moving to a farm north of Maddock. They retired in 1968 and moved to Maddock. He died on 2 Mar 1983. She was a longtime member of the North Viking Lutheran Church and it's WELCA. Survivors include a son, Gary Kopperdahl of West Fargo, ND and two daughters; Betty Anderson Mrs. Verdale Anderson of Heimdal and Linda Keeney of Payson, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Togstad of Maddock; and a sister, Alice Aanderud of Maddock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant daughter and a sister Agnes Beck.
