The funeral for Agnes L. Beck, 85, of Maddock was held Thurs. at the North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock. Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Maddock. She died Jan. 31, 1994 at the Lake Region Lutheran Home in Devils Lake.
Rev. Lori & Rev. Brad Keyser-Boswell officiated. Pallbearers were Jerome Togstad, Donald Togstad, Thomas Togstad, Wayne Pershke, Dale Palmer, Philip Beck & Harold Berglund. The Nelson Funeral Home of Maddock was in charge of arrangements.
Agnes Lydia Togstad was born Oct. 30, 1908 near Hesper to Anton & Gunda Togstad. As a child her family moved to near Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She was raised & educated there. The family returned to North Dakota & lived north of Maddock. She married Conrad Beck March 12, 1948 in Minnewaukan. They lived in Maddock where he operated Beck's Shoe Repair. He died Dec. 18, 1992.
She was a member of North Viking Lutheran Church in Maddock, its Martha Circle & the Maddock 55 Club.
Survivors include a son, Dale Togstad of Devils Lake; 2 daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Sandra) Pershke of Argyle, Minn. & Carol Beck of Devils Lake; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Harry (Alice) Aanderud & Olga Kopperdahl, both of Maddock; & a brother, George Togstad of Maddock.
She was preceded in death by her parents & her husband.
