Paul Edward "Jr." Clawson, Sr., 75, of Frankfort, KY, formerly of Lafayette, passed away at 6:49 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born July 9, 1938 in Martinsville, IN, he was the son of the late Paul Temple Clawson and Vesta Victoria Rhode Clawson. Jr. married Tamara "Tami" Weber Wade on February 12, 1972 in Lafayette and she survives. Jr. served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until being honorably discharged in 1959. He worked in production on the barrel line at Industrial Plating in Lafayette for over 26 years before retiring. Jr. and Tami moved to Frankfort, KY and owned and operated JR's Grocery Store there in Frankfort. Jr. was a member of the Triple Crown Cowboy Church in Frankfort, KY and enjoyed fishing, quilting, and making items for the Prayer Shawl Ministry in Frankfort, KY.

Surviving with Tami are his five children, Paul "Eddie" Clawson, Jr. (wife, Elsi) of Belleville, IL, William "Bill" Clawson of Frankfort, KY, Shawn Clawson of Lawrenceburg, KY, Melissa "Missy" Wiley (husband, Carlos) of Frankfort, KY, and Anthony McManaway of Lafayette, seven brothers and sisters, Nellie Zahn of Lafayette, Charles Clawson (wife, Alberta) of Lafayette, Albert Clawson of West Lafayette, Barbara Whitaker of Oxford, MS, Robert Clawson (wife, Kathy) of Monon, IN, Floyd Clawson (wife, Terry) of Lafayette, and Betty Jean. Jr. is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Clawson, two sisters, Kathern Abrams and Mary Pinkston, and a granddaughter, Angela Clawson.

Burial to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with military honors.
