Hattie Aadland, 83, Lidgerwood, N.D., died Saturday, June 20, 1987, at Tekakwitha Nursing Home, Sisseton. She was born Jan. 12, 1903, in rural Lidgerwood to Peter and Augusta (Glaser) Anderson. She grew up on a farm and attended rural schools, graduating from Lidgerwood High School in 1921. She attended Valley City Teacher's college, Valley City, N.D.. She also taught at rural schools. She married Adolph (Jumbo) Aadland on Oct. 1, 1924, at Britton. They farmed near Veblen until 1930 when they moved to a farm near Lidgerwood. In 1969 they retired and moved to Lidgerwood. He died Oct. 14, 1971. She continued to live in Lidgerwood until she became a resident of Tekakwitha Nursing Home in 1973. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWMS).

Survivors are: one daughter, Maxine Medhaug, one sister, Elma Bigelow, three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
