Mrs. Bernice Lawrence, age 78, of Vidalia died Friday October 3, 2014.
Mrs. Lawrence lived most of her life in Treutlen County and was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Mattie Bell Dorsey, brothers, Talmadge, Jacob and Curtis Dorsey, and sisters, Marian Watts and Juanita Aaron. She was retired from Mohawk Industries, Dublin, and was of the Baptist faith.
Services will be conducted in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 5. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, October 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.
