Wynoka (Ann) Howell, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 after battling an extended illness. The Treutlen County native lived in Reidsville for much of her life. She was known by her family to be a fighter. She endured not only health complications but also many heartaches in her life. Within a 10-year period, she lost two children and her husband, but remained strong for the rest of the family. Perhaps this is why she was so devoted to spending time with her kids and grandkids. One of the ways that she showed her love was through her home cooking. Everyone remembers her to be an exceptional cook. Additionally, she was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church. A devoted mother, loving grandmother, and woman of God; she will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Mattie Bell Darsey; husband, Carlton Howell Sr.; son, Carlton Howell, Jr; daughter Diane Howell; three brothers, Talmadge Dorsey, Jacob Dorsey, and Curt Dorsey; three sisters, Marion Watts, Juanita Aaron, and Bernice Lawrence; a great granddaughter, Haley Hutcheson.

Left to cherish memories of a lifetime together is her daughter, Karen (Rodney) Hutcheson of Reidsville; five grandchildren, Dale (Patty) Howell of Reidsville, Jason (Kelly) Howell of Reidsville, Scottie (Rebecca) Howell, Dusty (Allison) Hutcheson of Lyons, and Shannon Hutcheson of Reidsville; several great and great great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold (Maxine) Dorsey and Roy Gene (Genelle) Dorsey; one sister, Latha (Harold) Fowler of Statesboro; other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Reidsville City Cemetery with Bishop Gilbert Wommack and Rev. Wes Collins officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dale Howell, Jason Howell, Scottie Howell, Cody Howell, and Dusty Hutcheson.
