Agnes K. Rafferty, 90, of Bowman, ND, passed away on October 31, 2014 at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Center in Bowman. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Bowman Lutheran Church in Bowman. Pastor Charles Swanson will officiate with burial to follow in the Bowman Cemetery. There will be a Family and Friends Service on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Southwest Healthcare Long Term Chapel in Bowman. Agnes Aasen was born on October 17, 1924, the daughter of Magnus and Marie Aasen. She was educated in the local area and also received her teaching certificate from Dickinson. Agnes taught school for a few years. On July 7, 1958, Agnes was united in marriage to Leo Rafferty at the Grand River Lutheran Church south of Bowman. Leo worked for the Dell Webb Corporation and his work led him and Agnes to Los Angeles, CA, Phoenix, AZ and Houston, TX. Leo also built houses and Agnes would show and sell them. In the late 1970’s they started Leo’s Paint and Body which they owned and operated until retiring and moving back to Bowman. Agnes was a wonderful lady who enjoyed her time visiting with her family and putting together puzzles. She was also a member of the Southwest Retired Teachers Association. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son Pat. She was preceded in death by her parents; Magnus and Marie, husband; Leo, brothers; Kaare, Olaf, Kenneth and Roy Aasen, sisters; Hilda Johnson, Arlene Johnson, Maxine Paulson and Helen Peters and two child siblings.
