Frances Carol Adams, 74 of Pine Mountain Valley, GA died Saturday, November 01, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Columbus, GA .
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton. Pastor Rick Lipp and Rene Gomez will officiate the service, serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Ellerbee, Jonnie Ellerbee, Shaun Adams, Jonathan Jones, Daniel Gomez, and Clint Chaudoin.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery, Pine Mountain Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Adams was born August 28, 1940 in Talbotton, GA the daughter of the Easton D. Mullis and Leila Daniel Holloway. She retired as Deputy Clerk of Superior Court and was the former Tax Commissioner for Harris County. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Barbara Jean Pearson. As the matriarch of her family, Carol's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol was the rock that held her family together and will be greatly missed by all that loved her. She is survived by her husband: John H. Adams of Pine Mountain Valley; son John David Adams of Pine Mountain Valley; daughters: Debra Jean Gomez and her husband Rene of Pine Mountain Valley; Julie Adams Ellerbee of Cataula; brothers: Easton "Buddy" Mullis of Tuscaloosa, AL, Harold Stanley Holloway of Pine Mountain Valley, William Allen Holloway and his wife Becky of Manchester and Daniel Joel Holloway of Pine Mountain Valley; grandchildren: Clarissa Carol Chaudoin, Jonathan Douglas Jones, Daniel Rene Gomez, Jessica Nicole Ellerbee, Joshua Adam Ellerbee, and Shaun David Adams; great-grandchildren: Everett, Norah, Cooper, Camille and Kadence.
