Dorothy was born on August 8th, 1925 in Bourbon County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Horton and Mary Berry Bills. Dorothy was a member of the First Church of God.
Dorothy was survived by two sons, Michael (and Jennifer) Abner and Marvin Jeffrey Abner; four grandchildren, Matthew Abner, Mason Abner, David Abner, and Joshua Abner; six great grandchildren, Ashton Abner, Lily Abner, Tegyn Abner, Allana Abner, Molly Abner, and Briella Abner; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horton Bills, who departed this life on September 3rd, 1969 and Mary Bills, who departed this life on September 25th, 1986; her husband, Marvin Abner; one sister, Ruby Bills; and two brothers, William Bills and James Bills.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 in the Chapel of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy W. Pierce and Rev. Sylvester Sanders officiating.
Her casket bearers were: Michael Abner, Jeff Abner, Mason Abner, David Abner, Josh Abner, and James Bills.
Burial followed in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
