A retired sales clerk for W.F. Beall Co. with 20 years of service, she died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Lane Nursing Home, Zachary. She was 97, a resident of Zachary and native of Winnsboro.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Monday, June 8, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs, 1020 S. Range Ave., Denham Springs, from 10 a.m. until service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Ray Johnson. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Causey Herrington and husband Bennie, and Margarette Causey Herrington and husband Randell, all of Zachary; adopted late in life baby daughter, Yvonne DeVall, of Prairieville; six grandchildren, Shirley Herrington Mitchell, Dorothy Herrington Parker, Randy Herrington, Barbara Herrington Smith, Tony Herrington and Medial Herrington Hay; 13 great-grandchildren, Brad Parker, Derek Parker, Joel Mitchell, Marchelle Mitchell Price, Sharla Mitchell Bender, Jayson Smith, Kendal Hay, Kellye Hay, Katie Hay, Shelby Herrington, Amy Herrington, Cade Herrington and Chris Faulk; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Warren Tony Causey Sr.; parents, Eugene "Buck" and Lottie Milby; son, Warren Tony Causey Jr.; Lester Hampton whom she loved as a son; two granddaughters, Linda Herrington Faulk and Jackie Herrington; five sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers will be Tony Herrington, Derek Parker, Jayson Smith, Brad Parker, Joel Mitchell and Steven Bender.

A very special thanks to Lane Nursing Home and staff for all the loving care they gave to mother - we'll never forget it. She loved reading her Bible and going to church. Also, she loved baking as she made so many Apricot Nectar Cakes for friends.
