Amanda Hall Adams, age 97, of Hindman, KY, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center. She was born at Pippa Passes, Kentucky on August 19, 1916 to John Slone and Ethel Patton Slone. Amanda was a former Postmistress for the US Postal Service and former member of the City Council for the City of Hindman. Amanda loved writing poetry.Survivors
Daughters- Wevena Slone, Faye (Jimmy) Halcomb and June Carol Smith, Son-John Gale (Beatrice) Hall, Son-in-law- Jimmy Hylton, Special Friends – Estee Leemaster and Myrtle Slone, Grandchildren- Carolyn, Marcia, Deidra, Jamey, Ricky, Regina, Angie, Kandi and Pam, 17 Great Grandchildren
Preceded in death by Husbands- R.B. Adams and Menifee Hall; Son- Richard Darrell Hall and Daughter- Floena "Pete" Hylton
