He was a native of Coffee County and son of the late Edwin Lindley Abercrombie and Wilma Cason Abercrombie. Oscar was preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Hogg, Faye Wilcox, Lucille Douglas and Geneva Renfro and four brothers, Robert Lee, Edwin, Carlton and Wherry Abercrombie. He served in the US Army.
Survivors include a brother, Felton Abercrombie and wife Brenda of Jacksonville, Fl. and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 21st at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Eric Brown officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 until 1:00 PM.
