Mrs. Clara “Sis” Adams, 85, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at her home in Philipsburg on Sunday morning, May 10, 2015.

She was born in Whitehall, Mont., on Sept. 19, 1929, to William and Henrietta (Dringle) Reynolds. She was raised in the Norris area and graduated from Harrison High School in 1947.

She married and gave birth to her three daughters: Bev, Becky and Jackie. Later in life her sons-in-law, Larry and Thor joined the family and through their deep bond, they treated her as their mom and she loved them as her own sons.

She was a homemaker, raising her three daughters that she loved unconditionally. She lived in Philipsburg from 1956 until 1971, when she moved to Butte, returning to Philipsburg around 1974.

Sis lived an active life and loved attending all her girls' activities and her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed playing pinochle and playing the piano as well as puzzle books, solitaire and bingo. She picked chokecherries and made syrup as well as wonderful baked treats for her family. She looked forward to rides around Philipsburg with her daughter.

Clara had a great love for animals and her pets: Baby, Oliver, Sophie and her adopted kitty, Kitsul.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brothers, Leonard Reynolds and William Reynolds Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Bev (Larry) Kulaski and Jackie (Thor) Klotz of Philipsburg, and Becky Mattila of Butte; and grandchildren, Jeff Kulaski, Amy (Dan) Crider, Danica (Ralph) Azbill, Jason Mattila and Jordan Mattila. Also surviving are her beloved great-grandchildren, Jaden, Tucker, Kelanie, Kalyssa, Kaleigh and Korbin; as well as a brother, Jim “Bub” (Betty) Reynolds and sister-in-law, Inez Reynolds; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She also leaves special friends, Ginger Christensen, Utahna Kennedy and Vicki Pederson.

In accordance with her requests, cremation has taken place at Butte Crematories. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, May 15, at her home, 131 Clark St., in Philipsburg. A private burial will be held at a later date with Larry Kulaski, Thor Sichveland, Jess Budel, Jeff Kulaski, Jason Mattila, Jordan Mattila, Ralph Azbill and Dan Crider serving as her honorary pallbearers.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

Axelson Alternative Cremation is privileged to serve Clara’s family.
