Eldon Aberle
SABETHA -- Eldon Aberle, 63, Sabetha, died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Aberle worked for McFall Motors from 1959 to 1961, and he managed Falls City Auto Supply for 17 years. He purchased the Ford dealership in 1979 and owned and operated it as Aberle Ford for 23 years. He also had served in the Kansas National Guard.
He was born Dec. 24, 1938, on a farm north of Sabetha, the son of George and Lydia Isabelle Stoller Aberle. He graduated from Sabetha High School in 1956.
Mr. Aberle was a member of First Congregational Church in Sabetha and past president of the Sabetha Country Club. He also was a member of the Sabetha Industrial Development Committee.
He married Bonnie Jean Kelley on June 12, 1960. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Mike Aberle and Scott Aberle, both of Sabetha; a brother, Gary Aberle, Sabetha; three sisters, Verna Mae Baskett, Kansas City, Kan., Leola M. Oldridge, Hiawatha, and Ruth E. Harrison, Mesquite, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church in Sabetha. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sabetha Community Hospital or First Congregational Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
