Funeral services for Mrs. August Aalto, 76-year-old Alaska pioneer and mother of Mrs. H. D. Plumb, of 15901 25th Ave. S. W., were held Wednesday at Douglas, Alaska, where she had lived since gold-rush days. Mrs. Aalto died June 24.
Other Seattle relatives include a daughter and son, Mrs. Robert Bonner, 828 S. 112th St., and I. A. Aalto, recently discharged service man.
Mrs. Aalto, who was born in Finland, is survived also by her husband, August Aalto, and four other children, Mrs. Edward Bach, Mrs. Alex Demos and Miss Laina Aalto, all of Douglas, and Mrs. H. C. Helmes, Santa Monica, Calif. She had 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
