Hampton: Kathleen Lupei Abers, 68, died November 11, 2015 at York Convalescent Center. Kathy was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hampton. She had been a Project Administrator with E. V. Williams, Inc. for 37 years. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, watching the birds and boating. Kathy was a wonderful friend and a loving and devoted daughter.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Catherine Lupei and the love of her life, Vernon Deihl.
She is survived by her father, Max C. Lupei; sister in law, Gerri Deihl; uncle and aunt, Cecil and Cora Deihl; aunt, Leah Machatton; nephews, William & Robert Deihl; special friend Betty White; and her E. V. Williams family.
A service of Funeral Christian Liturgy officiated by Reverend James Cowles will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at St Therese Catholic Church, Gloucester, VA. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Roseland Cemetery, Reedville, VA. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3 until 4:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
