Mrs. Rebecca Abraham Dead
Waverly Gazette: Mrs. Rebecca Abraham died at the home of Mrs. R. B. Palmer, in Waverly, Monday evening, November 11, at 8 o'clock, after an illness of almost 4 months. She made her home with Mr. Palmer for the past six years. She was born in Richland county, Ohio, May 5, 1826 and was 81 years, 6 months, and 6 days old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage in 1865 [April 5], with Mr. W. [William] M. [McClain] Abraham, who preceded her to the grave twelve years ago. Three sisters and a brother survive to mourn her loss; Mrs. E. A. Reed and J. P. H. Harris of Keota, Iowa; Mrs. R. B. Palmer and Mrs. R. C. Jones, and a niece, Mrs. J. H. Arnold of Waverly. The funeral services were conducted at Waverly Wednesday, November 13, and the remains were interred in the Waverly Cemetery. She was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of acquaintances and friends.
