Funeral Services for Mr. Lamar Acy of Wesson were 2:00 pm Jan. 2. 2016 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with burial at Strong Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Acy, 70, passed away Dec. 31, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1945 to Claude Everett "Buck" Acy and Alice Nicola Acy.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked in construction as Supervisor/Foreman.

He was a Disaster Relief Worker, World Changers, Nail Benders, an Honorary Deacon at Zion Hill Baptist Church and a Deacon at Strong Hope Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Carolyn Stodghill; and his brother, Harold Acy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Roberts Acy; sons, Allen Lamar Acy, Jeremy Berch, Jonathan Tackett; daughters, Sharron Acy Tackett, Susan Acy Berch, Tina Pell Acy; sister, Lyn Aldridge; he is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, Heather Evans Nations, Jay Evans, Jessica Maxwell, Morgan Acy, Lauren Acy, Cameron Acy, Nikki Berch, Taylor Berch, Noah Dickerson, Amelia Nations, Addison Nations, Lily Evans, and Luke Evans.
