Edward David Aaenson, 77, went home to be with his Father in heaven Jan. 7.

“Ed” Aaenson was born to Elmer and Selma Aaenson Oct. 25, 1938 in Granville, N.D. Ed grew up on his family’s farm, being the youngest of 11 children. He had five brothers and five sisters. When he was 20, he left the farm, moving to Washington briefly then to Southern California where he worked as an aircraft supervisor for Rohr Industries.

In 1973, he met and married his loving wife Doris. They moved from Riverside, Calif. to Minot, N.D. for 10 years prior to moving to Lake Havasu City in 2007.

Ed was a very special man that everyone loved and he in turn loved them back. His family was the most important element of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with Doris in their motor home.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons Michael and Mark Aaenson, David and Gary Meissner; daughters Karen Bennett and Kathleen Martinez; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Kingsley of Bismarck, N.D.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and six brothers.

A memorial service is Saturday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m., at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2791 Inca Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.

Arrangements were made through Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
