Annie Ovidia Aaenson was born on February 19, 1925, a daughter of Almer and Selma (Mortinson) Aaenson in Marshall County, South Dakota. She moved with her family to Riga Township, rural Granville, ND, where she was raised and educated.
On January 15, 1945, Annie was united in marriage to Chester Charles Kingsley. They made their home on a farm near Deering, ND where Annie assisted Chester in the operations of the family farm, where they raised cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and their ten children. Annie was the strength behind her family; she was tough, but loving. In 1978, the couple moved off the farm into Minot. Chester passed away on August 9, 1981.
Following his death, Annie became a Mary Kay Consultant. She truly loved this opportunity. Annie was a friend to whomever she met, and would often enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with her clients and strangers. In 2006, Annie moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot, where she met many wonderful friends. In the spring of 2011, she transferred to Bismarck Edgewood Vista to be closer to her sons. Following a fall, she moved to Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck, ND.
She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, baking pies, and the phrase “go kill another chicken for dinner” was one that could often be heard as she prepared meals for her many guests. On the farm she raised cows, pigs, sheep, chickens AND KIDS!
