Funeral services for Hartvik Angel Hartvikson, 72, Minot, who died in a Minot hospital Sunday, will be held in the Thompson-Larson Funeral Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Walter Jardine, Fargo will officiate and burial will be in the family plot in Rosehill cemetery in the spring. He had been ill for a number of years.
A retired farmer, Mr. Hartvikson was born in Namdalen, Norway, on June 15, 1878 and came to the United States when he was 26 years old.
On June 18, 1912, he married Inga Otten at Pleasant Lake where they farmed for many years. They moved to Minot in 1949.
Mr. Hartvikson is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Braasch and Miss Rubelle Hartvikson, both of Minot, and Mrs. Stanley Aarestad, Jamestown; four sons, Hjalmer of Heaton, Gordon of Jamestown and Arthur and Donald, both of Minot.
He also is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Jacob Tweten, Nashua, Mont., Mrs. Hans Johansen of Devils Lake, Jorgina Lindelien, Tacoma, Wash., and Miss Helga Hartvikson, also of Tacoma.
Brothers surviving Mr. Hartvikson are Hans of Portland, Ore., and Harry of Silverton, Ore.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
