DORIS ADAMSON, age 85, of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky, died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Care Center at Kenton Pointe, in Maysville, Kentucky. Born in Robertson County, Kentucky, on October 22, 1927, to the late Leslie Howard and Dora Frank Stewart, she was a homemaker and member of Blue Licks Assembly of God Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Jesse Glenn Adamson; a brother, Charles Howard; and a sister, Norma H. Mastin. She is survived by: her husband, Earl Dean Adamson; a son, Philip (Nellie) Adamson, of Robertson County; a daughter, Jan (Joey) Caldwell, of Robertson County; seven step-children, Robert (Judy) Adamson, Darrell (Diane) Adamson, Richard (Kathy) Adamson, Larry (Robin) Adamson and Deana (Jim) McCoy, all of Mt. Olivet, Ronald (Kathy) Adamson, of Winchester, and Brenda (Frank) Adamson, of Maysville; two brothers, Paul Glen (Joetta) Howard, of Maysville, and Leon (Wanda) Howard, of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Betty Howard, of May’s Lick; four grandchildren, Michael Adamson, Janelle Adamson, Joseph Caldwell and Jonathan Caldwell; and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Robertson County Funeral Home by Bro. Danny Howard and Bro. Ronald Spencer. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Blue Licks Assembly of God Church, 185 Redbud Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039; or Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056. Pallbearers will be Michael Adamson, Joseph Caldwell, Jonathan Caldwell, Jeff Howard, Derrick Adamson and Richard Adamson.
