Kathryn Ehreth, 99, Minot, ND passed away May 20, 2016 at Trinity Care Center in Minot.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 am at Weigel Funeral Home.

Kathryn was born on May 10, 1917 to Adam & Katherine (Roshau) Geiger in Cannonball, ND. Kathryn was with us for nearly a century that saw many changes.

Kathryn married Joe Ehreth in November of 1938. They bought a ranch west of Solen where they raised Hereford cattle. They had 3 daughters, Kathleen, Betty and Roberta. Joe died suddenly on October 2, 1964. After the hardships of running the ranch and the blizzard of 1966, the ranch was sold. Kathryn and Roberta moved to Minot that fall where she worked at Ellison’s Department Store. After Roberta’s college graduation and marriage, Kathryn moved to Bismarck where she worked at Lucas’s Department Store. Following the death of her second husband, Wenzel Cermak, she then returned to Minot.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joe and Wenzel; granddaughter, Hailey Sattler; sisters, Rose and Veronica; brothers, Adam, Tony, Christ and Frank.
