Laura Lynette Cheney Adams, 44 of Haysville, Kansas, formerly of Sunnydell, Idaho, returned to her heavenly home Friday, July 15, 2016; after passing away in Wichita, Kansas.

Laura was born December 29, 1971 in Rexburg, Idaho to Elmo David Cheney and Louisa May (Rasmussen) Cheney. She was raised in Sunnydell, and attended schools in Rexburg, Idaho, graduating from Madison High School in 1990. Laura served an LDS mission in North Carolina from 1993 to 1994. She graduated from Ricks College with a degree in landscape design in 1996. She married her sweetheart, Shane Lloyd Adams in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple, April 18, 1997. They were blessed with 6 delightful children.

Laura was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a devoted loving wife and mother, and a beloved sister and daughter. Both creative and courageous, Laura was a joy to be around. She enjoyed sewing, loved gardening and working outdoors.

Laura is survived by her husband, Shane Lloyd Adams, 6 children; Olivia Lynne Adams age 15, Victoria Elaine Adams age 14, Tyler Jordan Adams 12, Joshua Elmo Adams age 10, Dallin Hinckley Adams age 8 and Tuckett Jeramiah Adams age 4, all of Haysville, KS, mother; L. May Cheney, siblings; Helen (Earl) Maurer, Joan (Larry) Reeder, Catherine Cheney, Evan Cheney, Carmen (Robert) Clark, Nina (Jon) Harris, Luana Cheney.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Elmo David Cheney, sisters; Sharon (Robby) King and Ruth Ann.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Archer Sunnydell Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Lindstrom conducting. The family will receive friends Friday, July 22, 2016 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be at the Sutton Cemetery in Archer. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
