Glenn Lee Adams, 77, passed away after a sudden illness in Scottsdale, Arizona on April 13, 2016. He was born in Damascus, Va. and lived in Roanoke for most of his life. Glenn has now joined dear family members in his heavenly home: his wife, Betty Gentry Adams; his parents, Mildred Adams Widener and Lee Adams; as well as his stepfather, Dale Widener; and his sister, Sue. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Clay McKinney; his grandchildren, Adam and Ryley McKinney; his devoted partner, Ruth Vipperman, of Scottsdale and her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Ryan Mattos and their daughter, Addison Elizabeth; as well as his two sisters, Ann Thomas of Bristol, Tenn., and Jean Lewis of Kingsport, Tenn. A graveside celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, Va.
