Janice Marie Tucker Poole, 60, of Moultrie, Ga., died October 27, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Elder Lamar Burkette officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Born November 6, 1955 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late George Milan Tucker and Etheleen Strickland Tucker and a descendant of the late Henry Crawford Tucker family. Mrs. Poole retired from Douglas General Hospital in Douglasville, Ga. as an x-ray technician and was a member of Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She was a Blue Bird volunteer for over 20 years at Colquitt Regional Medical Center and was involved in other civic organizations. Mrs. Poole was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Robin Poole.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Tucker Abercrombie; a brother, David Gene Tucker.
Survivors include her husband, James Robin Poole of Moultrie, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Larry Abercrombie of Moultrie, Ga.; special niece, Susan Davis and Brett of Suwanee, Ga., great-niece, Kate Davis of Suwanee, Ga.; cousins, Vickie Sangster, Barbara Hiers both of Moultrie, Cathy and David Warren of Niceville, Fl. and other family members.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
