Betty J. Acklin, 86, of Weston, Mo., formerly of Mound City, Mo. passed away Jan. 12, 2016 at a Platte City, Mo. care center.
Betty was born on May 14, 1930 in Maitland, Mo., the only child of Joseph and Frankie (Worley) Boring.
On Oct. 14, 1948 she married Donald L. Acklin, and they ran a woodworking shop. Donald preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and a grandson, Brendan Acklin.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Acklin of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Shaylin Acklin and Kinsey Garcia; and four great grandchildren.
Services: Tues., Jan. 17, 2017, 2:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Mound City. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery.
