ADAMS, Bradley, 51, of Midlothian, Va., died on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Brad fought a 21-year battle with heart disease. His body was donated to research in the hope of saving others from that battle. We urge all who read this obituary to register with Donate a Life America at www.donatelife.net. Brad was 1A on the heart transplant list, but his own poor heart couldn't last long enough for a new one to be available. Brad was preceded in death by his brother, Matt.
Brad received his B.S. in Finance and his M.B.A. from VCU. Upon graduating, Brad held various positions in financial forecasting and management at Best Products Corp., Hesa Educational Corp., and Growth Capital. In 1996, he joined Saxon Capital to run their loan securitization program and in 2002 became Saxon's executive vice president of Capital Markets. Since 2011, Brad owned and operated Self-Insured Concepts, Inc., specializing in management of Group Self Insurance Associations and other aspects of the insurance industry. On the lighter side of things, Brad loved golf (four holes-in-one), VCU basketball, trips to any wine country with Kelly Lee, MUSIC, a good party, a good dance, cooking, commaraderie with his many friends. He HATED to wear a suit and tie! So feel very free to come casual to his funeral - that would really tickle him.
