Peggy Abbe, went to be with her Lord Friday September 1, 2017 at the age of 82. She was born July 12, 1935 in Delaware Bend, TX.

She was a member of the Yukon Church and was very active in the Women’s Bible Study Group. Peggy volunteered at the Senior Center with the Mobile Meals program and participated in the women’s Red Hats Society. Peggy held a state championship in women’s basketball for Whitesboro, TX. She loved baking and cooking, with her signature recipes being Texas Pie, dressing, and cucumber dip. She enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys, the University of Texas, “The Yellow Rose of Texas” and loved purple and pink and breakfast with the grandkids. Peggy was the best g-ma ever, a very good friend to many and will be missed by all. She had persevered and overcame many trials and tribulations and was an inspiration to many people.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon, her three children Jerrie Connell, David Abbe and Derrick Abbe, granddaughter Casey Abbe and brother M.D. Ragsdale.

Survivors include her grandchildren Brandy Connell, Nicole Wilson, Natalie Connell, Ashley Abbe and Courtney Abbe, great grandchildren Isac Swift, Alaysha Waldron, Bradean Horawa, Kenny Blood, Karly Blood, Kiley Sanders, Makayla Sanders, Ayden Sanders, and Ryker & Rayce Lafuenta, great great grandchildren Alex and Isac Swift and her sister Patsy Parker.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday Sept 6 at 1PM in Yukon Church with burial following in the Yukon Cemetery.
