Samuel Aagard was born May 5, 1857 Kolding, Denmark. He came to this county in 1880. He passed away August 14. 1935 at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 9 days.
He was married twice. Two daughters were born to the first marriage, Mrs. Nina Bratten, Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Mary Richardson, San Grabriel, California. In 1895 he was married to Mrs. Johanna Olson. She passed away January 31, 1934.
Beside the two daughters, survivors four step-sons and one step-daughter--Gilbert Olson, T.A. Olson, Henry Olson, Carl Olson and Mrs. M. E. Souders, all Eureka. Mrs. John Olson widow of step-son and two brothers Chris Aagard Mener, Arkansas and Rasmus Aagard Eureka amd one sister Mrs. Mary Aaroe Eureka.
