The 1920 census of the hospital and his death certificate indicate that Lloyd was a native of SC. He lived in Anaconda, MT. He was hospitalized here 17 yr 6 mo 24 days and succumbed to tuberculous arthritis in his right knee and dementia praecox (schizophrenia) which apparently had onset in 1917. His death certificate indicates that he'd been a laborer at various jobs before his admission to the asylum at age 17 or so.
Thus far the only Lloyd Able I have located is one born in 1897 in NC, son of John Able and Caroline McCombs, the youngest of 6 children born to his parents. His father was deceased by 1900. Lloyd is a brother to John Jr, James, Sallie Able Thombs and Rosetta Able Briggs. Lloyd was employed as a call boy as early as 1910. He is not found in later NC records.
