Smith Downtown Funeral Chapel Obituary 11/14/2017

It is with great sadness and heart felt love that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Pauline Pierce on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 88 in Portland, Oregon.

She was born in Richardson, North Dakota on December 23, 1928 and moved to Montana as a young child where she lived most of her life. She took roots in Pompeys Pillar, Montana until August 2016 when she moved to Portland, Oregon to be with her daughter Rose.

She was a vibrant lady that loved to live life. Her love was gardening and spending time with her family and friends. In addition, she dedicated her whole life to worshiping the Lord. She was a long-time member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Custer, Montana and Beaverton Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a dedicated volunteer of her community.

She is survived by her brothers Jim, Ted (Pat), Lenny, sister Darlene Howley, and sons Art (Inez), Rick (Lana), Don (Julie), Leroy (Becky) Belless, Carl (Teresa) Powell and daughters Goldie Weisbeck (James), Violet Spradlin and Rose Frizzell and many, Grandkids and great Grandkids that she loved and adored so much.

She is preceded in death by her brothers David, Charlie, Tim and sister Dorothy Church, and son Bob Belless and her daughter Carol Powell and niece and nephew Dan and Jeanie Adams.

Her love and gentleness will be long remembered and forever missed.

Special thanks to Springer and Son Aloha Funeral home in Oregon and Smith Funeral Chapel in Billings for taking care of the arrangements.

Viewing will be held at Smith Downtown Chapel Friday, November 17 at 10:00 am with funeral services at 11:00 am.

Pauline will be laid to rest at Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine, Montana by her daughter Carol Powell following the services.

A reception will be held at the Yellowstone Valley Electric Reception room from 2:00pm to 5:00 pm in Huntley, Montana.
