Anita Marie Tschetter, age 87, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Ava's Hospice House by Sanford in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls. Her family will be present to greet friends for visitation from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.

Anita was born on September 22, 1930 on a farm near Delmont SD to the late Solomon and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Lagge) Semmler. She attended high school in Armour SD. Anita was united in marriage with Delore L. Tschetter of Freeman, SD on April 8, 1951 in Delmont, SD. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls, SD in 1961.

Anita worked at the bakery in Parkston, SD, in Freeman SD at the Co-op as an egg-Candler, the Freeman Hospital and K&K Store. While living in Sioux Falls she worked for over 17 years at Wonder Bread and later in the cafeteria at Washington High School; retiring in 1985. In her retirement she volunteered for many years with the Memorial Lutheran Church Ladies Aide. Her hobbies included playing board/card games and spending time with her family.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband of nearly 67 years, Delore Tschetter of Sioux Falls, SD; daughter, Dianne Card of Laguna Beach, CA; and one grandson, Nicholas Card and his fiancée, Sara Phaler of Aliso Viejo, CA.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, Solomon & Minnie Semmler; son, Steven Tschetter in 2006; and eleven siblings.

Anita would like to acknowledge the late Delores and Gene Vilhauer, along with their four daughters and their families. Through the Vilhauer's, Anita and Delore joined Memorial Lutheran Church and shared many wonderful experiences together.
