OSAGE CITY - Services will be Thursday at McElfresh mortuary here for Mrs. Reba M. Abney,79, Osage City, who died Sunday in an Emporia hospital where she had been a patient a few days. Earlier, she had been in an Osage City nursing home for 15 years.
She was born Oct. 2, 1892 at Burlingame and spent her life in Osage County.
Her husband, Elbredge Abney, died in 1928.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Nancy Leighty, Topeka, and Mrs. Opal Turner, St. joseph, Mo.; a son William Abney, Maupin, ore.; a sister, Mrs. Hannah Bewley, Topeka; 2 brothers, Elza Jernigan, Emporia, and Reese Jernigan, Topeka; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery.
