He retired from South Atlantice Constructors and G. E. Moore Construction. He was a US anvy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Brooks Adams of the home; a son, Thomas Brantley Adams of McCormick; and a daughter, Wanda Kay Adams of Epworth.
