Fereleen (Roberts) Acton, 77, of rural Rippey, died Sunday, May 20, 2018, on the family farm.
Fereleen Willa (Roberts) Acton was born June 10, 1940 in Elk Creek, Missouri to Willard and Grace (Browne) Roberts. She graduated from Scranton High School in Scranton, IA in 1960 and attended the Iowa School of Beauty.
On Jan 7, 1967, she was united in marriage to Daniel Acton at St. Brigid Church. Fereleen worked for a time in a salon before staying home to raise her family and work on the farm with Dan. Fereleen loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, Hannah and Emma. She volunteered throughout the community, loved any garage sale she could find and was a long-time season ticket holder of the Drake University Women’s Basketball team.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel; sons, Chris (Melody); Jon (Heather); daughters, Heather and Heidi; two grandchildren, Hannah and Emma; sisters, Ollie and Gladys (Joe); brothers, David (Marilyn), Delmar (Carol), Doyle; Donald (Pat); and many nieces and nephews.
