Annie “Bea” Adams, 83, of Bassett died August 31, 2018 at Stanleytown Health Care. She was born on March 14, 1935 to the late Louis W. Joyce and the late Nannie Sue Tuggle Joyce. Bea was a member of Blackberry Baptist Church and a member of the Patrick Henry Vol. Fire Dept ladies auxiliary. Bea was also preceded in death by sisters, Edith Wray, Racine Craig, Ilda Mitchell, brothers; Curtis Joyce, Dolphus Joyce, Ronnie Joyce.
Surviving her loving husband of 65 years David Adams, two sons and daughters – in – law, Bryan Adams and wife, Linda, Wesley Adams and wife, Karla; three grandchildren, Savannah Adams, Jenna Adams and Ashtyn Gammons. Also surviving sisters and brothers – in - law, Geneva Dillon, Peggy Merriman and husband, Moyer, Nellie Terry and husband, Carl; brothers and sisters – in - law, Tommy Joyce and wife, Emma Dean and Bobby Joyce and wife, Jean.
The visitation will be Tuesday, September 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Blackberry Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Blackberry Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Janey and Pastor Merle Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
