Donald Burton Adams, 89 of Speedwell, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Adams was born in Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Edith Paul Adams. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Johnson Adams and a daughter, Dale Lynn Adams.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Donald Adams, II and wife, Kathleen of New York, David Adams of West Virginia, Douglas Adams of Hiwassee, Dan Adams of Wytheville, Dale Adams of Rural Retreat, Dennis Adams of Galax, Debra Eschenburg of Pennsylvania, and Donna Frease of Arizona; number grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Cripple Creek with the American Legion Post 9 conducting military rites.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
