TRACY --Services for Sarah Aarthun, 89, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Aarthun died Monday at the Christian Manor Nursing Home in Tracy.
She was born Jan. 1, 1890, in Redwood County and attended the St. Paul University Agricultural School.
On March 11, 1915, she married Art Aarthun in Redwood County. They operated a grocery store in Walnut Grove and farmed in the Garvin area and later moved to the Tracy area.
Survivors are children, Virginia Kiiskila of Cambridge, Larry of St. Paul, Jergen of Perrysburg, Ohio, Donald of California; brothers, Charles Cantine of Redwood Falls, Delancy Cantine of Truman; one sister, Molly Darby of Minneapolis; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
The Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy is in charge of arrangements.
