A native of Louisiana, Hiram lived in Fresno 21 years and had been a cotton farmer. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was survived by his wife, Alma; seven sons, Kenneth, Marshall, James, Glenn, Charles, Wayne, and Jerry of Fresno; two daughters, Bonnie Auttonberry of Jackson, Miss., and Jeanette Pickering of Tucson, Ariz; a brother, Charles of Monroe, La., two sisters, Cornelia Abraugh of Monroe, La and Viola Smith of Shreveport, La; 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
