The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Knollhurst Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Mr. Aaron was born on June 3, 1948, in Rockingham County to the late Alfred Sherman Aaron and Carrie Opal Tuttle Aaron Foy. Lance was a 1966 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam conflict in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division, and later in the United States Marines. Lance owned the County Line Grocery for over twenty years and was retired from Pine Hall Brick. He was skilled in sketching and drawing and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy Aaron and Joe Aaron.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Brim Aaron; sons, John Bradley Aaron (Jennifer), Jacob Lance Aaron (Christian) and Mark Anthony Aaron; daughters, Cindy Aaron (Travis) and Chelsea Cool (Dylan); grandchildren, Cheyenne, Nathan, Taylor, Tyson, Alexis, Nora, Leah and one on the way; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Lilly; brothers, Steve Aaron (Marvie) and Sherman Aaron (Theresa) and sister, Sue Kuhn (Ray).
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday at Colonial Funeral Home and all other times at the residence.
