Linda Mae Overshon, of Dixon, was born on April 21, 1947, at Dixon, a daughter of Luther Jasper and Caroline Jane (Shelton) Alexander, and departed this life at 4:20 p.m., on Monday, January 14, 2019, at her residence. She had attained the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 24 days.

Linda was united in marriage on May 16, 1977, at Bland, to Bobby Wayne Overshon.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Dixon, and a 1965 graduate of the Dixon High School. Following high school, Linda became a Certified Cosmetologist and Beautician after attending and graduating from the Springfield School of Cosmetology in Springfield, Missouri. Linda had been a self-employed beautician for fifty years and had owned and operated her own business, The Fashion Gallery in Dixon, retiring in 2017.

Those left to mourn the passing of Linda include: Her husband, Bob, of the home near Dixon; one son, Brandon Overshon, and wife, Somer, of Dixon; two grandchildren, Abby and Ethan; two brothers, Jack Alexander and wife, Mary, of Springfield, and Dariel Alexander of Dixon; two sisters, Brenda Aaron, and Angela Baker and husband, Danny, all of Dixon; sisters-in-law, Patsy Alexander and Maxine Alexander, both of Dixon; and many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luther, on December 29, 1995; her mother, Caroline, on July 28, 2015; three brothers, Hurschall Alexander on December 10, 1986, Buell Alexander on July 28, 1989, and Leland Alexander on March 12, 1990; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lea Alexander on June 10, 1995, and Pam Alexander on September 23, 1993; and one brother-in-law, Johnny Aaron, on January 18, 2016.

Visitation for Linda Overshon will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 17, 2019, in the Dixon Church of Christ, 12000 Highway 28, Dixon, Missouri 65459, with her funeral services following at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery, near Dixon, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon. Pallbearers for Linda will be Shawn Alexander, Terry Baker, Dustin Baker, Roland Ray, Matt Campbell, and Jason Shelton.
