ABRAMOVITZ. Herman Abramovitz, 91, of 615 Tower Ave., Hartford, died Tuesday (May 7) at his home. He was born in Rumania, and had lived in Providence and Newport, R.I., before moving to the Hartford area. He was a retired government employee of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Congregation Beth Ahm, Windsor. He is survived by three sons, Henry Abbey of Cranston, R.I., Albert Abbey of Newton, Mass., and Louis Abbey of Windsor; six grandchildren, Lisa, Andrew, Deborah, Paul, Douglas, and Bruce Abbey; two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be today, 11 a.m., in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave. Burial will be 2:30 p.m., at Beth Olam Cemetery, Middletown, R.I. Memorial week will be observed at the home of his son, Louis Abbey, 39 Robin Road, Windsor. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hebrew Home and Hospital or to the Congregation Beth Ahm, 362 Palisado Ave., Windsor.
