Mrs. Lillian Mandel Abramovitz, 82, of Providence, a former resident of Newport, died yesterday at the Bannister House in Providence after a few months illness.
Mrs. Abraovitz was a member of the Congregation Ahavas Achim here and of its Women's Auxilliary.
Born in New York City March 4, 1893, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Mandel.
She was a resident of Newport for 35 years before making her home in Providence 20 years ago. She was the wife of Herman Abramovitz.
Besides her husband she leaves three sons, Henry Abbey of Providence, Albert Abbey of Newton, Mass., and Louis Abbey of Winsor [Windsor], Conn.,; a brother, Morris Mandel of New York City; a sister, Mrs. Mollie Frankle, also of New York City; and six grandchildren.
