Agnes Veronica (Brockie) Adams "Singing all day," was born November 5th, 1925 in Fort Belknap. She was the daughter of Clarence Edward Brockie (1890-1949) and Mary Angela (Fox) Brockie (1899-1945.)

Aggie attended school at Saint Paul's Mission and Flandreau Indian Boarding school in South Dakota and was raised in Hays, Montana.

On February 9th, 1947, she was married to John J. "Jiggs" Adams. For several years she worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs Land Department. Aggie was the first chairperson of the first Housing Authority Board in Fort Belknap and served on the board for nine years. She was also active in community affairs on the Fort Belknap reservation. The major part of her life was devoted to her grand children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, powwows and camping. In October 1990 she made her first Cursilo at Saint Paul's Mission.

Survivor's include four sons, Neil Adams of Arlee, Maurice Gail Adams, Frances "Cutt" Adams and Bill Stiffarm, all of Harlem; three daughters, Mary Adams, Mel Bell and Nancy Adams, all of Fort Belknap; two brothers, Morris "Brickie" Brockie and Henry "Prince" Brockie, both of Hays; four sisters, Rose Connor and Anne Helgeson, both of Fort Belknap, Frances "Frosty" Brockie of Harlem and Mary Hayes of Frazer; 22 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on February 1st, 1989, two sons, six sister's, four brothers and a grandson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated in Saint Paul's Mission Catholic Church in Hays with burial in Saint Paul's Mission Cemetery.
