Rocke Afraid of Hawk was born April 23, 1953 at Cheyenne Agency, SD to Angeline Straight Head and Daniel Afraid of Hawk.

Rocke was one of the original Big Foot Riders and organizers from 1986-1990. Rocke was a humble man committed to preserving the Lakota way of life. He set an example for other people to follow. Rocke will be missed tremendously by all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Daniel & Angeline Afraid of Hawk Sons: Chaske Afraid of Hawk & Tanner Albers Grandson: East Lee Brothers: Gary Silk, Whiskey Two Eagle, and Rick Albers.
