Richard Abraham, 83, Sun City, Arizona, died Saturday in Sun City. He was born May 4, 1905, in Spink Township, Union County. He was graduated from Yankton College in 1932 and earned his master's degree from the University of South Dakota in 1939. He taught at Gregory High School and was superintendent there from 1942 to 1946. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1946, where he worked for Inter-Collegiate Press until retiring in 1972, when he moved to Sun City. Survivors include his wife, Martha, of Sun City; one son, Kent, Washington, DC; one daughter, Kay Hoffman, Scottsdale, Ariz., one brother Edwin of South Dakota; five sisters: Laura, Evelyn, Eleanor and Gladys, all of South Dakota; and Florence of Scottsdale; five grandchildren three stepsons from Arizona and three stepdaughters from Arizona. A memorial service will be held Thursday at Sunland Lakeside Chapel in Sun City.
