OLENA BURCH HOWARD born in Lingleville, Erath County, on February 29, 1908, to Harvey and Lulla Burch. She went to high school in Ranger and was a cheerleader in school year 1926-27. Olena met Thomas "T-Bone" Howard who worked for Walker-Smith Grocery Company. She went on to Abilene to business school and they married on October 18, 1929. Olena died in Cortez, Colorado in 1992 and her husband died in Graham, TX, in 1973. They are both buried in Summit Ridge Cemetery in Dolores, Colorado. She was raised in the old T.P. Camp on the north side of Ranger. They had two children, Thomas Burch Howard and Glenda Gayle Howard Moore.
