DEATH OF SAMUEL ABBOTT, OF MEMPHIS, MO.
MEMPHIS, Mo., Dec. 12.—Samuei Abbott, another of our old citizens, died of dropsy Monday at Fort Madison, Iowa, where he had lived the past few months. Mr. Abbott was aged 82 and was for a long time a citizen of Memphis, where many years ago he worked at the cooper's trade, being associated in that work with Mr. Blake. The body arrived yesterday morning, and was buried at the Masonic cemetery, after a brief service, at the grave conducted by Rev. V. O. White. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, namely: Thomas: Abbott, Quincy, Ill.; Mrs. G. W. Coder, Clarence, Mo.; Miss Carrie Abbott, and W. O. Abbott, of Fort Madison, Iowa.
