Lee Roy "Bud" Aycock, 90 year old resident of Boise City, Oklahoma passed away at his home on Friday, May 15th, 2020.
On June 9th, 1929 Bud was born in rural Cimarron County to his mother Ella Mae Risley and his father Fred Carl "Scoot" Aycock. Bud graduated from Boise City public schools in 1947. He later enlisted in the United States Army, and served most of his tour in Germany with the AAA Gunnery Battalion until 1952.
Bud was united in marriage to Rose Bea in Boise City on June 9th, 1958. The union was later blessed with four children; two daughters: Darlene and Joyce and two sons: Craig and Roy.
He spent many years in the trucking industry working for Hofferber Trucking and then later owning and operating his own trucking line.
Bud was a hard worker and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed playing harmless pranks and telling jokes and stories.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Aycock and Mae Adee, his wife Rose; his brother, Benjamin Franklin "Kelly" Aycock and one sister Lois Mae Evans.
He is survived by his children, daughter Darlene and husband Steve Berry of Allen, Texas; daughter Joyce and husband Rodney Coppock of Darrouzett, Texas; son Craig and wife Melana Aycock of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and son Roy Dean and wife Marcy Aycock of Conway Springs, Kansas. Also eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud is also survived by his siblings, sister Doris and husband Jim King of Burlington, Colorado, sister Elaine Hensley, sister Cindy Aycock and brother Jim and wife Andrea Adee all of Boise City, Oklahoma.
